Programming error – Clients sometimes misunderstand the Start Time feature and inadvertently set multiple start times, causing the system to repeatedly restart its cycle.
Malfunctioning valve(s) – A zone valve may have deteriorated or accumulated debris, permitting water to flow continuously. We suggest flushing the valve or replacing it to maintain proper efficiency and operation. Installing a master valve on your system may prove beneficial, as it only energizes when scheduled to run, thereby reducing the duration that a failed valve can continue watering.

Watering streets or driveways wastes water and may cause deterioration to asphalt or concrete surfaces. Rotor and spray heads frequently shift during freeze/thaw cycles. The head can be adjusted, potentially requiring a specialized key. If the head has sustained damage or cannot be properly adjusted, immediate replacement is necessary. You may shut off the water supply to your system until Conserva Irrigation arrives. Wet spots can also result from a leaking or damaged sprinkler head, which our repair team can quickly address.

Numerous controller types exist in the current market. Consult the manufacturer's manual if available. Many manuals can be found online in PDF format for convenient download. The ideal watering time depends on multiple factors:
Evaporation rate
Temperature

Humidity levels (including dew)
Lawn disease risks
Municipal regulations (watering restrictions)
Early morning watering (approximately between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.) is recommended, when wind conditions are typically calm. This timing minimizes evaporation and allows you to benefit from morning dew, resulting in additional water savings. Morning watering also reduces lawn disease risk by allowing your grass sufficient time to dry throughout the day.
